THE WORLD ALMOST ENDED 71 YEARS AGO...
Pestilence appeared out of nowhere and devastated the world. Fever, respiratory disease, plagues and death: anyone who contracted the plague died within a week. Nothing could stop it. The world did its best-but it was not enough.
The few survivors of our people struggled desperately to keep the world from plunging permanently into oblivion. For three generations we lived at sea, aboard floating stations called "shelters."
Away from the epidemic, we manage to send supplies on land (antibiotics, food, medicine and tools) that enable the people down there (and us) not to succumb permanently. We have kept alive a network of the largest cities in the world. But the situation has worsened in recent years. From the cities farthest away from the shelters, no news is coming in anymore....
Tomorrow a small group will leave to find out what is left of the rest of the world. None of us can say what we will find.
Embark on an epic adventure to save the human race, now on the brink of extinction, in this second completely standalone game, the continuation of the acclaimed Pandemic Legacy: Season 1. The Black Edition and Yellow Edition have two different covers, but the game content is the same.
A NEW QUEST
Seventy-one years ago, the end of the world was near. A deadly epidemic that came out of nowhere devastated humanity. For three generations, small groups of survivors struggled to keep the human race alive. Settling in a series of floating stations known as "the refuges," they maintained sporadic contact with larger cities, delivering food supplies to the mainland. But their efforts now no longer count. No more news is coming in from some cities, and supplies are running low. The world needs a group of heroes to step up and lead humanity out of this new crisis. In Pandemic Legacy: Season 2, this task falls to you. You must reestablish supply lines and help the world rise again. The decisions you make along the way will affect your future games. As you play, you will unlock new components, discover many things about your world and come across some secrets that could change the course of the story. Whatever happens, the world is counting on you. You are humanity's last hope.
BEYOND THE MAP.
Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 is a dynamic experience that leads players into a desperate struggle for survival. It follows a narrative arc that unfolds over the course of a year and takes players on an epic journey filled with dramatic twists and shocking revelations. Initially, your job is to keep the mainland settlements running by supplying the network cities with the supplies they need to keep the epidemic at bay. But soon you must push into the unknown and explore those areas that do not appear on your map. When you do, new areas of the board will become accessible for exploration. These new regions will provide you with new clues about what has happened to the world and how you can complete your goals, but they also contain new threats that may alter the course of your story. As the months go by you will have to adapt to each new challenge if you hope to save the world.
